The AICP is preparing for negotiations with the Directors Guild of America for a new National Commercial Agreement (“NCA”) and AICP Sideletter to succeed the current agreement which expires on November 30, 2026. We are scheduled to meet with the Guild to begin negotiations in late September.
If you wish the AICP to represent you in these negotiations, please fill out and submit your completed Authorization to Negotiate form to the AICP as soon as possible, but no later than September 1, 2026. Your signature on the Authorization to Negotiate form will bind you to the terms and conditions of the new AICP-negotiated NCA and AICP Sideletter.
Please click here for the form to authorize the AICP to negotiate on your behalf with the DGA.
Please submit your signed Authorization form to labor@aicp.com with your company name and “DGA Authorization” in the subject line.
The AICP will submit to the Guild the list of authorizing production companies in advance of the September bargaining session. If your company is currently a DGA signatory and doesn’t submit an Authorization to the AICP by September 1, your company will not be on the list of companies that the AICP represents in bargaining.
You may receive a notice directly from the DGA regarding the expiration of the NCA with a request to negotiate. That notice requires no response from you to the Guild if you sign and submit the AICP Authorization form linked above.
Your return of the signed Authorization directly to the AICP satisfies your obligation at this time. However, if you elect not to be represented by the AICP in these negotiations, you should promptly consult with legal counsel concerning your company’s rights and obligations and you should respond directly to the Guild regarding your company’s individual negotiations with the Guild.
If you have any proposal ideas for these negotiations or other information the Negotiating Committee should take into consideration, please click here to provide input. Submit your input by September 15 to ensure the Negotiating Committee has time to review it before the start of bargaining.
For questions regarding your company’s signatory status, contact Ralph Loyola, Labor Relations Manager, ralphl@aicp.com. For questions about the DGA NCA and AICP Sideletetter, contact David Michael González, VP, Labor Relations, at davidg@aicp.com.
